AI commentary for the matches a commentator cannot reach

A league plays forty matches across three grounds in a weekend. Hiring a commentator for every one of them is not realistic, and silence makes a stream feel abandoned. AI commentary reads the live score feed and talks over the match.

How it runs during a match

The scorer scores

Every ball, point or raid goes into the scoring app as normal. Nothing extra is asked of the scorer.

The feed is read

The commentary engine watches the same score feed the graphics use, so it knows the state of the match.

Audio is generated

Ball-by-ball lines, milestones, wickets and the match situation are spoken over the stream.

A human can take over

When a commentator is available for the final or a marquee match, the operator switches the audio across.

Where it genuinely helps

  • League group stages on parallel grounds, where no budget covers a commentator at each one.
  • Academy and age-group matches that parents watch from another city.
  • Mid-week fixtures with a small crew, where the alternative is crowd noise alone.
  • Keeping sponsor mentions in the audio on every match, not only the ones with a commentator.

What it is not

It is not a replacement for a good commentator on a final. It does not read the mood of a crowd, tell the story of a player's season or argue about a decision. What it does is make sure a match that would have gone out silent goes out sounding like a broadcast - and it gets the score right every single ball, which is more than a tired human on a fourth match of the day manages.

Questions we get asked

Before you enquire

Which languages are available?
Ask us for the current language list when you enquire - it is expanding, and we would rather confirm what is live for your dates than publish a list that goes stale.
Does it get player names right?
It uses the names from the tournament's own player list, which is why registrations and scoring sharing one player record matters. Names entered correctly once are pronounced from that record.
Can we mix AI commentary with crowd audio?
Yes. The ground mics stay in the mix underneath, so the stream keeps the atmosphere.

Send us your fixture list

Tell us the sport, the dates and the ground. We will come back with what the coverage needs and what it costs - and if registrations open before that is settled, start collecting entries today.
